Hi!! I'm Janah and I'm super grateful you stopped by to get to know me a little better. I am a former preschool teacher turned stay at home mamma. That means I know a thing or two about wrangling littles! I was raised "my way or the highway" but as a mom I've learned the BEST way involves all of us! That means pointing the day in a good direction and just enjoying the ride!!
There is room for everyone's silly faces! There is plenty of time to get distracted by a squirrel or to get the energy out of wiggly bodies with a foot race! Of course there is time for us to show off how high we can jump! Life is not lived in poses so where is the benefit in standing still for family pictures?? Let's have a session that you'll be smiling about for days and make memories you'll be cherishing for years!
My husband and I had a plan! We were married in February of 2014 and wanted to wait until 2016 to get started on babies buuuut, God had another plan. By January of 2015 our sweet baby boy made his entrance and we would not change a thing!! He has brought so much joy and vision into our lives and is definitely the driving force behind my love for family photography! I shamelessly admit that I cried on his first day of preschool!! I'll also admit to spending a good majority of my day at home playing "Paw Patrol" Adventures with him... in which I am always... ALWAYS the villain.
But, that's okay! You see, my little guy is on the autism spectrum and it is an honor to be invited into his world in any capacity. That factoid is usually met with a sympathetic eye or an "oh, I'm so sorry!" to which I reply "There is nothing to be sorry for!" There isn't a single thing I would change about him!! He is the most incredible, loving, brilliant human being I've ever known and it's a pleasure being his Mamma! Yes, some days are more challenging than others but I'm grateful all the same for him helping me to fulfill my deep desire of being a mother.
Meet Kevin, my favorite guy!! I couldn't have asked for a better partner in life!! We met at church 10 years ago! Right off the bat he stood out to me for his serving heart! We started dating a year later when he asked me to be his girlfriend near a camp fire surrounded by a bunch of our friends!
Two years later during a campus ministry reunion meet up, he shared how much he loved me and how he wanted me next to him wherever he went for the rest of his life!! *GASP!!!* Six months later, we shared our first kiss at the alter!!! He is supportive, hard working, and an AMAZING father to our 5 year old son. He is such a blessing and many more blessings have come from being his wife!!
